Using PowerBuilder is a very enjoyable and relatively simple task that gets you quickly up and running with an extremely powerful development environment. I got started development in SUF first and am now transitioning to PowerBuilder as I see many transactions related to the community. I am an engineer in a Fortune 100 and would love to hear how people are using PowerBuilder in your roles. I have inherited some legacy PowerBuilder code and would love to make it more responsive.
PowerBuilder is a GUI database tools for windows and mac, the back end is written in.Net. It's a database tool and a tool builder. Visualiser, designer, code, and publish. Took me a while to figure this out as I have a more traditional IT background
Just reading about PowerBuilder, it sounds like it would be a great way to accomplish some custom BI with Power BI Dashboards,Reports and visualizations. It's amazing how new this product is. It's almost as if they are still in the beta version stage. It mainly seems to have been developed to solve.
I didn't know about PowerBuilder until very recently - up to now I've worked with Php, Ad hoc SQL and PL/SQL... so I'm making A LOT of adjustments... track my sessions, do some bike weight lifting for the first time ever. I'm dying...
